Description
The international center for trade and export promotion in Guinea-Conakry (CIEPEX) tasked ABCP Architecture & Urbanisme and RSW International with conducting a seven-part study on the feasibility and construction of its trade and export promotion center.
The idea was to gather together on the same site a variety of complementary services required for the smooth operation of a trade and export promotion center with a view to ensuring greater trade efficiency.
The various services are located along a partially pedestrian thoroughfare leading to a large plaza. All the key public services are located around this development hub, which provides a spectacular view of Mount Kakoulima to the northeast. The plaza also serves as a gathering place, where buildings and facilities of interest to site users are located. These include the exhibition and trade show center, convention center, and other buildings such as a hotel, craft village, shopping center, and various head offices.
