Description
The former fishing camp known as Estevan Lodge had undergone a number of transformations over the years and there was an urgent need to upgrade, protect, and adapt the villa to its new role as a meeting and exhibition space. The work, ongoing since 2001, was planned in accordance with the spirit of the villa by consulting iconographic and historical documents, as well as documents on the various expansion projects, and by analyzing existing evidence of how the building had changed over time.
A second work phase consisted of restoring the shell of the villa and its annexes. A new project will involve installing mist sprinklers and converting the gatehouse into office space.
