Description
The STEM Center (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) of the International School of Geneva has been designed in such a way that students can broaden their thinking by engaging in the elaboration and resolution of open issues involving robotics, design, and programming.
The central goal of the Center is to foster 21st century learning experiences that break the traditional boundaries of compartmentalized and theoretical acquisition of subject matter. This should lead to a higher level of creativity, interdisciplinarity, critical thinking, information literacy and learning through projects.
Students now enjoy beautiful spaces in which they can imagine new worlds; they are bathed in an atmosphere conducive to dreams and invention. The objective is certainly to bring together subjects, but also to mix age groups, to merge various elements of the program in search of new forms of energy, of divergent thought, by working together on real-world problems that require new ways of thinking.
