Cruise terminal - Port of Quebec

The new cruise terminal's sober, contemporary and timeless architecture is inspired by the port's naval and industrial landscape.

The terminal is divided into two activity zones (disembarkation and screening at ground level, followed by the embarkation area upstairs), with a central service area (sanitary facilities, technical rooms, offices and cloakroom). The layout was designed to minimize routes and exits. The floor plan is completely uncluttered, offering great flexibility in terms of layout. The walkways and canopies covering the exterior circulation and manoeuvring areas are entirely suspended. There are no columns on the first floor, allowing full utilization and an increase in waiting, circulation and handling areas (cabs, baggage, buses).

The boarding gangway consists entirely of four-leaf sliding doors. The width of the doorways has been considerably increased to match the structural framework. The concept of the proposed openings allows connection with the boarding gangway along the entire length of the gangway.
