Description
Auditorium 1 at Quebec City’s Musée de la civilisation had never been renovated since its construction in 1988. To mark the museum’s 25th anniversary in 2013, management decided to renovate and rename Auditorium 1 after the museum’s founder, Roland Arpin.
The museum tasked ABCP architecture with designing and producing the drawings and specifications for the renovation/re-fit of the auditorium and adjacent service areas, including the entranceway, artists’ dressing rooms, storage spaces, and so on. ABCP was also in charge of coordinating the work with scenography consultants, engineers, and other professionals, and providing services during construction.
