Description
The Anne-Hébert library, attached to the Explorateurs school, covers an area of 730 m2, and boasts a collection of over 35,000 books, a stage area for children, meeting rooms, secluded work rooms, a photocopy room and an exhibition room.
The contemporary, state-of-the-art library is made entirely of wood. It is a great place to learn, create, socialize and relax for local residents and young people.
This inter-communal facility is accessible to local schoolchildren, particularly those from the École des Explorateurs, as it is linked to this school by a footbridge on the upper floor. The large, bright and contemporary main hall, with its heartfelt wooden beams and structure, offers all the ambience needed for such a place of knowledge and culture.
The concept was to offer a diversity of spaces and atmospheres for different clienteles, with a particular focus on youth areas. Innovative educational zones were planned for the youth area.
