Description
This $16 million project consisted of constructing a new building to house all consular and diplomatic services as well as landscaping gardens on a 2,500 m² lot.
The project features areas with very different specifications and constraints created within a single building around an interior courtyard. These included official areas rich in architectural resolution, suites for receiving visitors, consular services, offices, and high security areas.
The construction phase of the project, managed by SNC Lavalin International, was completed in December 2004. However although the design and drafting phases were completed on schedule, the construction phase lasted a year longer than planned due to the country’s economic and geographic situation.
