Description

The INAF, or Institute on Nutrition and Functional Foods, of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food of Laval University is a research center devoted entirely to foods and complex interactions between their components, nutrition and health. It is the largest group of researchers in this field in Canada.

In 2016, ABCP Architecture was given the mandate to transform certain areas of the building so that they could better meet the mission of the Institute. As of 2018, researchers will be able to take advantage of their new labs located under the highly recognizable dome at the intersection of Hochelaga Boulevard and the Robert-Bourassa Highway in Quebec, originally an arena for the observation of livestock. These new laboratories will consist of an experimental kitchen as well as a consumption area, one of whose objectives is the behavioral study of food (preparation and consumption).
